Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...

How we wonder what you are!

First, I'm going to start out by saying that I have been waiting for this moment since the day I found out I was pregnant! I've gone through countless Youtube videos searching for couples who found out the gender of their child anywhere from 12 weeks to 17 weeks in hopes I would be one of those lucky people who finds out very early too. Nope, I had to wait until I was 20 weeks. I'm SO happy the day has finally come!

I was hoping for a little girl and Neal was hoping for a little boy; that's usually how it goes. Since he grew up with 3 sisters, I also wanted him to have a little boy because I know it would be an amazing experience for him and their bond would be incredible. Neal is a man who treats everyone with kindness and respect and is a pleasure to meet, but is also one of the silliest people I have met. I knew that when I got to know him a little better, he was the type of man my Grandmary would want me to date/marry one day and her opinion is extremely important to me. I'm more than proud to call him the father of my child, or you know... my baby daddy ;)

I would love to see Neal grow up with a daughter though because he would treat her how she is supposed to be treated, which is to teach her to have high standards when it comes to boys/men (when she gets old enough to date of course, which I'm sure he would say is at age 30, ha!) while I treat her how to act like a lady. I already know she would definitely be a daddy's girl!

Neal and I have both thought about having either gender and would be happy with a little man or a little miss. I would love to be able to take my little boy to practice for whatever sport he chooses to play, but I would love to do my daughter's hair and have spa days.

We are so grateful to be on this journey no matter how others see it for us. Yes, we're young and still working on a few things for our future, but what no one can say is that we won't love and cherish our child as much as any other couple. Being young parents means that we're going to get to do some more fun activities with our child that I remember my parents didn't get to do much as they got older, like going on roller coasters or playing sports and exercising with me. We also get to love our child a little bit longer - lucky us! :)

Baby Hall, we are so lucky to be your parents. You're not even here yet (well you are, just not in our arms) and you've changed our life forever. You are so loved already!

WE ARE HAVING A...      !

I am so excited and ready to meet him/her! Again, we can't believe how lucky we are and are so grateful to be his/her parents! I'm going shopping for clothes immediately because that's been the one thing I have wanted to do the most, but I couldn't buy outfits without knowing the gender because I would have to return the others once we found out. I'm already planning a baby shower as well, which will more than likely be in September around my 21st birthday. As you can see in the photos, we are more than happy with the gender of our future child that God has given us. We both believe that everything happens for a reason and we're meant to be this little girl/boys parents.

P.S. My dress was sent to me by the wonderful ladies at Pink Blush! I've known about Pink Blush before I got pregnant and I believe it is every mama's dream boutique - TRENDY clothes for the ladies expecting or who already have kids. You can't really find fashionable maternity clothes at your normal mall (unless you search really hard) because they're very typical and mostly basics. Pink Blush carries clothes for mama-to-bes, plus size mamas, AND even a NON-MATERNITY clothes! I strongly suggest you check out their beautiful pieces that range from floral prints to basics, and shift styles to ones that are more fitted. If you like their clothes and accessories as much as I do, enter the giveaway below for the chance to win a $75 gift card to Pink Blush!

Thank you so so much to everyone who has wished us luck, happiness, and joy on this journey to becoming new parents so far. Our hearts are so full!

What I Eat In a Day (On a Good Day!)

Ever since finding out I was pregnant (besides a couple days where I have wanted to stuff my face with everything but something healthy) I have tried to change my eating habits for the better. I am no where near where I want to be, but I have saw so many improvements  lately that I'm proud to share what I eat in a day!

Keep in mind that this is not ONLY what I eat in one day! My mom always makes dinner, which is usually some sort of meat with pasta or veggies on the side. During the past few years I have also witnessed my mom trying to eat healthier and making small changes like buying whole wheat pasta vs the original (which I personally like better now!). These are all things that I simple snack on or eat before/after dinner. In case you're still worried that I don't eat enough, I'll elaborate...

I always start out with coffee for breakfast, or a smoothie. I've never ate a ton in the morning and I'm usually on the go anyway, so I opt for something quick. The only ingredients I use for my smoothies are fresh fruit, milk, yogurt, and ice. We always keep bananas and strawberries in my house so that's usually what I use, but we've had blueberries and blackberries lately so I add those in as well! I also make avocado toast in the morning, and depending on if I'm a hungrier and have more time, I'll scramble some eggs and add them on top!

When I have a sweet tooth, I grab some fruit (whatever we have in the house) and put yogurt on the side. It's quick and simple and tastes so good! If I want something else, I'll make a boiled egg and sprinkle it with salt and pepper or munch on a few carrots with ranch until I'm not hungry anymore (or until the episode of Gossip Girl is over!)

Water has been my life saver the past few months. I always drink at least two bottles a day, but it seems that has increased to four recently. I should drink more, but since I drink Minute Maid fruit punch or orange juice or any sort of fruit juice for the rest of the day, I never saw it as a huge problem! I haven't drank any soda since shortly after I found out I was pregnant when alllll I wanted was an ice cold Sprite.

Lastly, it seems like we always have leftover white rice or fried rice in my house. I know fried rice isn't the healthiest but it's all I've craved during this pregnancy! It can't be any regular takeout fried rice either, it has to be a certain kind of hibachi style rice. I'm addicted and no one can tell me to stop.
